I don't know what maninka smells like but I assume the note I can't verbalize is that one and it smells quite lovely. Brimming with rich intensity, this enticing fragrance opens with exquisite honeyed peach to lure the senses into a heart of coffee infused with vanilla and vetiver. As the name implies it is The Scent, the ultimate scent for those who love woody and fruity fragrances. The fragrance has some opening to dry-down changes, the opening has a fresh citrusy touch from the ginger, but it quickly subsides as the Maninka fruit develops; at that point, the ginger becomes just a support spicy touch; towards the dry-down, the Maninka fruit note climbs up to position itself as the most prominent note.

I'm not gonna pretend to know what I'm talking about like some of you do 🤣😜 but this is a scent I don't particularly enjoy, it's masculine, it lasts long and I would absolutely label it as a colder weather fragrance. I've used many popular Hugo Boss fragrances like the Boss in Motion, Hugo Boss Boss but none give the feelings and mood The Scent gives. The ginger is the second most noticeable note, spicy, sharp, fresh, with a faint cinnamon-like touch. In its output smells fruity and little chocolatey, that, may be it was an illusion olfactory due to some patchouli chord. it is pretty unique, the ginger is overwhelming and overall a spicy and sweet parfume, ok pricing, i give it a 4/5.

Hugo Boss the Scent Absolute EDP opens with a moderate projection of very sweet, spicy, and fruity notes. On spraying I find that it has very strong notes of smashed ginger with the juicy notes and on my skin hints of sweet cinnamon / allspice.
